Mid Century G Plan E Gomme Front Fall Chest of Drawers/Desk/bureau. A classic 1950s/60s G Plan piece of furniture with an unusual front fall top drawer. It looks like a standard drawer when closed but when open, reveals a cleverly designed mechanism to allow the drawer front to fall forward to become a flat surface, ideal for a laptop or writing desk. Or it could just be used as a standard drawer. The drawer space is designed for compartmentalised storage, originally for stationery. There are 7 compartments which could still be used for the original purpose or storing other bits and bobs. One of these has been partly lost, probably from cramming in too much paperwork.

The other two drawers are conventional and are smooth running. Height from floor to bottom of unit:- 20cm (8). Depth (including handles) 46cm (18). Ideal if your new normal involves working from home.
