Original British made solid oak bureau c1900. Nice quality piece & very heavy. Lovely colour and grain pattern to the oak. The original bun feet are very unusual. The decorative beading is a nice feature. Three large drawers and drop down writing section. The handles are antique but may not be the originals. No key included but easy to open due to lip on top. A very elegant piece with a lovely golden oak colour. CONDITION overall for its age is good, there are of course the usual age related scratches and marks. Top has lots of tiny marks do has been stripped and refinished and is slightly lighter in colour. All drawer runners re waxed. Slight gap to top edge but totally solid.

107 high x 92 wide x 53 deep x 73 knee height room. The older pieces of furniture are better made, normally by craftsmen and not machines, have more character & if looked after will last many years. I also love much older pieces, if they are unusual, well made & a great design I will offer them for sale. I like to keep pieces as original as possible & will clean & re oil / wax.

I convert some to'Hairpin leg' pieces if they have no legs / ugly legs or missing legs. I do NOT allow customers to arrange their own couier as I cannot accept responsibility for the item in transit.
